Introduction

HA in KMC-H series are designed to meet the needs of heavy duty cutting with its five (multi) face machining capabilities.

 

 

The machines combine the advantages of machining all 4 sides with horizontal angular attachment and machining the top face of a workpiece with a vertical head in a single set-up.​​​​​​​

 

Horizontal head attachment can be indexed to 4 positions in 90∘increments, and to 72 positions in 5 increment in case of a complex workpiece. Machines demonstrate efficient and extremely fast process of changing tools due to its upgraded electric ATC system, and the tool magazine capacity can be extended according to your cutting needs.

 

The spindle transmission includes both helical and spur gears, which enable the spindle to show high torque output even at low rpm.

 

Our machines get the good grade of the customize test of tool steel P20 with feed rate 1440mm/min and 600rpm. Some models optional vertical spindle head demonstrate high speed of 8000 rpm.

 

The three axes of the machine are supported by rigid box ways to minimize the displacement caused by loading pressure and heavy duty cutting.

 

​​​​​​​ Models with distance between columns of under 2.1m utilize hardened and ground double guide ways. Models with distance between the columns of over 2.1m utilize 4 box ways on the X axis. 


KMC-H series machines will enable you to achieve high quality of finished workpieces, improve productivity and reduce production costs. 

Horizontal angular attachment
Horizontal head attachment can be indexed to 4 positions in 90∘ increments. For complex workpieces, indexing to 72 positions in 5∘ increment is optional.
Automatic Attachment Changer (AAC)
Machines have a unique AAC design, which has upper and lower seats and can move back and forth-separately or together. 2 station AAC magazine includes an automatic opening door, securing the production process, and protecting the head attachments from chips and coolant.
Horizontal head spindle spiral bevel gear transmission
The spindle transmission includes both helical and spur gears for driving the spindle, so that spindle can provide high torque output at low rpm. The maximum spindle torque (780 Nm) allows heavy duty cutting, and spiral bevel gears reduce shocks and noises.
Highly rigid box way construction
Models with distance between columns of under 2.1m use hardened, ground double guide ways, and models with longer distances between the columns of over 2.1m use 4 box ways on the X axis. This design make sure the machine structure rigidity.
Minimal distance from spindle center line to Z-axis slideway
The distance of only 85mm from spindle center to Z-axis secures the stability of headstock and decreases the amount of heat displacement.
Y-axis step design
The machine has a high rigidity structure with unique design, whereby the lower slideway is offset a full 70 mm from the upper slideway. This feature improves the rigidity of the headstock and provides a stable foundation for the spindle head.
Tool unclamp cylinder
Specially designed tool unclamp cylinder protects the spindle bearings from any outside forces when releasing the tool.
Optional Coolant through the spindle feature
This feature comes with 600L coolant tank, high pressure pump, dual filtration and unique design for coolant hose. The system allows minimizing temperature while heavy cutting, avoiding chip stuck and guaranteeing slow abrasion of the cutting tool.
